Wearing White - White Maxi Skirt

When I found this white maxi skirt at a thrift store, I was thinking more of using it for a summer outfit with a sleeveless top and a pair of sandals. However, when I started thinking about this series, I thought I needed to stretch my brain to think about, how would I transition a white maxi skirt into fall. This is what I came up with.

This skirt is a brand called VLD. I haven’t decided if I’m okay with the half slip lining underneath. What do you think? I’m glad it is at least partially lined, but being that it is white, I almost feel it would be better if it was fully lined. I do like that it is a simple pull on elastic waist and that it has slits on both sides making it easier to move around in.

This Apt. 9 3/4 sleeve sweater was a clearance find from Kohl’s. This is one of those pieces that I found appealing due to the feminine details. There is shirring on the sleeves and the back has a pretty crocheted lace inset.

I wanted to use a scarf, but after I picked my scarf, I also thought I could add a long pendant necklace, just for fun, This scarf was a recent clearance purchase from maurices. When I saw this medium brown with the floral pattern I knew I was going to buy it. Brown is a color I like to wear and it looks decent on me, but it is hard to find brown pieces that are just the right color or style.

This yellow flower pendant necklace is one of my faves.

A bright blue clutch and my brown SO booties round out this transitional outfit.

Overall, I like how this outfit turned out. What do you think? Do you own a white skirt? Would you wear it in the fall? I can also see this skirt paired with knee high boots, and a chunky sweater for when the weather gets cooler.
